| Gerard 'Jerry' Beaumont founded Beaumont Pottery, Inc. in 1970. He
spent several years as the village potter at the Strawbery Banke
Museum in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Later, he expanded his
salt glaze works across the border into York, Maine. |

| Over
the years, he has built potteries in Crooksville, Ohio, Seagrove,
North Carolina and Valle Crucis, all of which
are still in operation, although under new owners. Jerry's mark,
the Cross, continues to authenticate his pieces. |
In
Maryland since 1998, G.Beaumont Pottery is Jerry's most successful,
albeit smaller, pottery works. At the location on Jarrettsville
Pike, Jerry Beaumont still hand turns each piece. His wife,
Janet, works alongside him, finishing pots similar to the one
that you see here.
